Structural Welder

Basic Purpose and Function: Shipyard new construction of inland and ocean-going barges using 1/16" flux-cored wire.

Responsibilities

• Perform FCAW welding on carbon steel plate.
• Weld vertical up and overhead on barge structures.
• Follow WPS, blueprints, and shipyard weld symbols.
• Ensure weld quality and comply with shipyard standards.

• Proven shipyard or marine FCAW experience required.
• Strong vertical up and overhead welding skills required.
• Ability to pass a shipyard weld test required.
• Knowledge of shipyard safety practices and procedure required.
• Working Days: Monday through Saturday; Working Hours: 48+ per week.
